Welcome back! We have covered 3 parts to this topic, Victory Over Sin. We will continue with Part 4 for the next 2 weeks. It would be a good idea to review the sections together to keep the thoughts shared a cohesive unit. Just stick with it, as it is really wonderful insights into the topic.

We continue with Part 2 for the next 2 weeks. You can always review Part 1. Hope you have found much to study and contemplate. 7 It avails me nothing that Christ has atoned for my sins, if I am then cast on my own resources. Holy beings fell before the wiles of that subtle tempter.

For most protestant believers the idea of total and complete victory over sin is considered  impossible. Thoughtfully considered, what has been echoed is that the gospel has not the power to keep one from sinning. 

“If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

Standing before Pilate, Jesus made reference to the truth. John 18:37 Pilate then asked, “What is truth?” (verse 38). This is one of the most important questions of our time.
